Our exciting Startup Showcase series is kicking off its first 2018 event on the hot topic of speech technologies. The MITEF of NYC will feature four cutting edge companies that are in the vanguard of the “voice first revolution”.

The Wall Street Journal wrote that voice will help drive “the next billion mobile users“. Studies suggest that the speech and voice recognition market is expected to be worth $18.30 billion by 2023. We truly are in the midst of a once-in-a-generation disruptive revolution that will impact every aspect of our lives.

As such, this Startup Showcase couldn't be timelier. Come get inspired listening to voice experts who make money talk! Founders will pitch to a panel of leading influencers in the technology and VC space. Each presenting company has been carefully selected based on their proven ability to both innovate in, and capitalize on, the compelling market opportunities provided by speech technology.

As with previous Startup Showcase events, we provide our audience with a unique opportunity to engage with company founders, ask questions, and gain invaluable insights from the brightest minds in the business. Learn not only what the future holds for Siri, Alexa, and Google Home, but also find out about other emerging technologies that will make speech technology so transformative.

Featured Startups

AISense

AISense uses Ambient Voice Intelligence to transform verbal communications into usable data. On average, people say around 16,500 words every day. Though people can search for emails sent years ago, there is no easy way to search their verbal conversations. AISense aims to make those words accessible and searchable in the same way texts and emails are now, and to provide digestible summaries of what was said and what was agreed by various participants.

Lovoco

Lovoco innovates AI in language tech for accessibility, communication, and educational purposes.

We invented Stenopoly, the first instantaneous bilingual subtitling AR SaaS, enabling: captions for the disabled; translations for global communicators; and higher learning outcomes for students.

discourse.ai

discourse.ai enables enterprises to have better conversations with their customers across all channels. We do this by implementing the heuristics that govern human communication and by creating predictive models from prior interactions and environmental data.

VoiceBase

VoiceBase provides access to spoken information through a cloud based API that allows companies to transcribe audio content, extract topics, keywords and analytics. An AI layer allows the discovery of complex information such as churn, hot leads or any other information contained in an audio conversation. VoiceBase is used by some of the largest companies in the US to automate, optimize processes as well as make better decisions.
